Are you looking for a creative and unique way to wrap your Mother's Day gifts this year? Why not try using peel and stick wallpaper to cover gift boxes for a personalized touch! It's a simple and fun DIY project that will make your gifts stand out. Here's how you can do it: What You'll Need: Gift boxes in various sizes Peel and stick wallpaper in your favourite design Ruler Pencil Scissors Exacto Knife Squeegee or credit card (for smoothing out bubbles) Any extra ribbon/string to complete your wrapping job! Step 1: Measure Box and Wallpaper Using your ruler, measure the width and height of your wallpaper. Now begin by marking out the following dimensions on the back side of your wallpaper: 2x height of box + width of box + 2x height of box. Complete this for all four sides of the box (if it is a square all 4 sides will be the same, if it is a rectangle then two sides will be shorter). Connect the lines in a grid and cut out your resulting square/rectangle. Then add the following markings add a diagonal line from the centre section of your grid to each corner. on two of the sides, measure the height of the box out from the centre third of the grid, and create a line. in each corner section, make a vertical line slightly out from the inner edge. Here is a photo to make this easier: Step 2: Cut the Wallpaper Using your ruler as a guide, use your exacto knife to cut your measurements. Begin by cutting along your diagonals, the small vertical lines you added last, and the horizontal lines from the middle section (shown in image with the red dotted line). Then cut out the small rectangles in each outer section (shown in the image with the blue dotted lines). Now you have your full gift box cover prepped (along with tabs!). Step 3: Peel and Stick! Peel off the backing paper and place your box in the centre of your grid. Ensure the bottom is properly adhered by turning the box over and using a squeegee/credit card to smooth out any bumps or bubbles. Then, starting with the tabbed sides, fold the paper over the box, smoothing out as you go. Once you have the whole box covered, go over the whole box again to smooth it out and ensure everything is properly stuck. Step 4: Personalize and Gift Get creative with your gift wrapping by mixing and matching different wallpaper designs, or adding a personal touch with hand-written notes or drawings. You can also find matching ribbons or strings to tie it all up (and don't forget to put the gift inside!). Your mom will love the extra effort you put into making her gift special! So, this Mother's Day, impress your mom with beautifully wrapped gifts using peel and stick wallpaper. It's a simple yet thoughtful way to show your love and appreciation. Happy gift wrapping!
